                            Amanda's Personal Journey

                            Fashion, Nutrition, and Fitness have always been a large part of Amanda's life. The A+ Plan began with meal planning, but a few years later, after much thought and several suggestions to do so, Amanda incorporated her passion, experience and expertise in fashion and exercise as well, making the A+ Plan one-of-a-kind.


                            NUTRITION:
                            Amanda was born into a family of healers, and her interest in nutrition began at a young age when she was told she had multiple food allergies. Reading every food label, experimenting and researching WHY certain foods bothered her and others didn't, finding nutritious yet tasty foods, and figuring what additives could be eliminated from meals without changing the true flavor allowed Amanda to gain knowledge and experience.

                            And after years of experience with a wide array of natural practitioners, Amanda was able to start sharing and improving the lives of others.  She later decided to further her education with training from Dr. Andrew Weil, Deepock Chopra, Debbie Ford, and several other natural practioners. Her desire to help others improve their self esteems and health of their bodies, both physically and emotionally, is what drives her.

                            EXERCISE AND YOGA:
                            As a youth and during her college years, Amanda found joy in dance classes and teams. She also began going to the gym in high school. Due to exercise-induced asthma, she was limited and didn't push herself too hard in sports. Until she pushed herself. And that was the start... 
                            Just like she doesn't give up on others, she doesn't give up on herself, and she trained her body to run. Her first 5k was such a milestone in her life. Her personal exercise method is variety, to keep boredom at bay as well as to keep the metabolism and body going strong. 

                            Yoga didn't really come into play until her child was born. She had toyed with it once every couple of months for a few years, but it never really "clicked." After having a child, she found it to be a relaxing form of exercise to oppose the crying and constant needs from her baby. But it wasn't until her divorce began that yoga became a necessity in her life. With mind-clearing, flexibility, and toning benefits, she found yoga to be the one form of exercise she could count on to de-stress and calm her mind. She also started her journey towards the full certification to teach yoga during this time. 

                            FASHION STYLING:
                            Amanda only applied to one college: Fashion Institute of Technology. When she was deciding, she thought of the one thing that had always been a constant - her love for fashion. Amanda's detail-oriented, creative and friendly personality are perfect for helping individuals feel amazing in the clothes that display the personality and goal of the client.
